Savings Accounts

Your membership at ISU Federal Credit Union begins with a Share Savings Account. We also offer a variety of other savings products for all your needs to carry you through each phase of life including:

Share Certificate

• $5 minimum balance required*
• Earn interest on balances of $50 or more
• Debit card with ATM access^

*Share accounts with balances less than $300.00 will be charged a $3.00 monthly maintenance fee if:

1. You are over age 21, and

2. You have been an ISU Credit Union member for one year, and

3. You have no other account relationship under your primary account number. (Other account relationships include: Share Draft, Christmas Club, Money Market, Share Certificate, IRA, any loan type, credit card, or authorized ISU Credit Union insurance policies)

^Replacement cards are $10.00.

Christmas Club Share

• No minimum balance required
• Balance automatically transferred to share draft or share account on first business day of October each year and account remains open
• Restrictive access - $5.00 fee for withdrawals made between January 1st and September 30th.

Kids Club

• For children ages 12 and under
• $5 minimum balance required in Share (Savings) account
• No monthly service fees
• Encourages good savings habits
• Fun-filled activity packet included with membership
• Invitations to special Kids Club events

IRAs

• Regular Share IRAs and Certificate IRAs available
• Regular Share IRAs include Traditional, Roth, and Coverdell Education Savings
• No minimum opening deposit required on Regular Share IRAs
• $500 minimum opening deposit required on Certificate IRAs
• Annual fee of $25 per membership
• Dividends calculated daily and compounded quarterly

Money Market

• No minimum balance required to open
• Tiered rates, meaning the more you have the more you earn!
• Dividends are earned on balances of $2500 or more
• No minimum withdrawal amount

Share Certificates

• $500 minimum opening deposit required
• $250 minimum opening deposit required for ages 21 and under
• 6 months through 5 year terms available
• Dividends for certificates with terms 12 or greater months are calculated daily and compounded quarterly with the option of monthly interest payments
• Dividend payment options available
